  1. Question - Does community policing have any influence on the treatment of suspects by police, such as they should be treated with kid gloves?  

Answer - The concept of community policing encourages the notion of collective responsibility and as a concept, it does ablactate how suspects should be treated, but the law takes charge.  

  1. Question – Why notorious suspects are always given bail, yet police have thorough knowledge that they are a nuisance to society?  

Answer - Bail is the right enshrined in the law and if there are extenuating circumstances nor relevant evidence such as the harm the suspect might cause or that he/she might abscond in terms of trial bail may not be granted.  

  1. Question – The issue of human rights has always appeared as it protects the rights of criminals more than the victims. Comment  

Answer - That is not true, one’s rights are curtailed once he/she has committed an offence and asserted. However, for the fact that he/she has committed an offence, that in itself does not expose him /her case is being investigated. Clearly indicates that the damages or infringements to his/ her rights are taken into consideration.  

  1. Question – Why farmers are not allowed to posses their own firearms safe guard their livestock?

 Answer - Farmers do not stay at cattle posts but their herd boys, so the law prohibits arms carried by youngsters as is the practice by our farmers.  

  1. Question – When will brand and tattoo markings be implemented?
