The members of this unit encourage partnership between police and community teaching them community policing.

The main purpose of community policing is to encourage public participation in the policing their areas. The members in this unit have the responsibility to their communities to ensure that they appreciate their role in the policing fractionation in order to promote the respect of law and human rights.  

THE FOLLOWING ARE SOME OF ACTIVITIES DAILY DONE:  

• Educate community on crime prevention matters.
• Raise awareness on community policing in villages through public gatherings, schools and churches visits.
• Encourage establishment of crime of crime prevention committees through pitsos.
• Provide training  for police chiefs, youths and crime prevention committees throughout the country.
• Engage youth in sports activities.
• Encourage community to engage in self-sustainable projects (e.g. community gardens)
