The Operational Services section is commanded by Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP): Operational Services, whose main responsibility is to oversee to the national planning, development of crime prevention and reduction strategies.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police: Operational Services is assited by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP): Crime, Assistant Commissioner of Police: Complaints and Discipline and three regional Commanders.

 The Operational Services Department is responsible for:

• Formulation of Policy Recommendation on Nation Operation Incidents.
• Planning of National Operation Events.
• Prevention of crime
• Management and control of Human and material resources.
